JVT Driver — Privacy Policy

JVT Driver is a work app for drivers performing duties assigned by JV Transport Service Pvt. Ltd. It records proof-of-service for each assigned trip: action timestamps, the route driven, and (where a client requires it) the guest's signature. Accounts are issued by our office — there is no self-signup and the app is not intended for the general public or for children.

• Identity & employment: your name, staff code, mobile number and the login account our office issues to you.
• Location (precise, including background): collected while a company driver remains logged in, including when the app is closed or not in use. During an active duty, location is recorded frequently to create the trip route. Outside an active duty, the app sends only the latest availability location periodically: about every five minutes on a day with a scheduled duty and every 30 minutes on a no-duty day. Signing out stops availability sharing. Vendor-driver location is collected only for the assigned duty.
• Duty evidence:the timestamps of your duty actions (start, pickup, drop, end, no-show) and, where the client requires it, the guest's signature drawn on your screen.
• Device information: a device label and sync timestamps, so our office can manage app access and see when a device last synced.

• Proof-of-service and accurate billing for the client of each trip.
• Trip-route records (kilometres, running details) for duty slips and invoices.
• Live dispatch — our control room sees active-duty routes and the latest logged-in company-driver availability position to coordinate work.
• Safety, dispute resolution and fraud prevention.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) to our systems hosted with Vercel and Supabase. Duty records that support invoices are retained for the periods required by Indian tax law. Raw GPS trail files are moved to archival storage periodically. Outside a duty, the operational system stores the latest availability point rather than a route history. Access is limited to authorised office staff.

Your account is created and managed by our office. To disable your account or request deletion of your personal data, contact us using the details below (or ask your office manager). We will disable access promptly and delete personal data that we are not legally required to retain (for example, duty records that back issued invoices must be kept for statutory periods).

• Location (While using / Always): for the duty route trail as described above and, for logged-in company drivers, the latest availability position. Android displays a persistent notification while background sharing is active. Denying it limits location reporting but never blocks your duty actions.
• Notifications: to alert you when a new duty is assigned or recalled.
